I’m born in 1990, on the 11th of December in Holland. I grew up with two cats and a dog. Back in the days I didn’t know much about animals, and I wasn’t that interested in cats. Actually, I think I was more of a dog person than a cat person.
This changed when I moved in with my boyfriend in 2008/2009. My boyfriend came with the idea to get a cat and I agreed. We got Suki, and a year later we got Hiro. I got interested in cats, I wanted to know more about these creature, these fluffy cats with their big eyes. I wanted to know why Suki scratched the wallpaper off, why she could be so annoying and why she slept so much. I bought books about cats (and still do) to get more information about cats and to get my questions answered.
I created Cats & Co on the 29th of August in 2011. With my goal to share my knowledge and what I have learned.
More About Me
I have two jobs, and I plan to do a new study next year in September. I have yet to graduate from the study Hospitality Management, but it’s harder than I thought. I hope to get it done before the summer vacation in 2013. In meanwhile I’m busy getting my driving licence.
My hobbies are cats (like that wasn’t obvious already…), writing and blogging. I also love music of all kinds of genres. I love a good movie and you can make me very happy with Asian food. I try to fill my bookcase with good books, and I like to think I have a good sense of humor. But I’m also a huge lazy slob! You’ll see my messy-side in some of the pictures of Suki and Hiro.
Since December 2011 I also write every month for the Anipaltimes. I really enjoy writing, and the website is definitely worth a look!
What I’m Not
I’m not a cat behaviorist or a vet. What I post or what I write about is what I have read in books or on the internet, and between those two resources I try to find the truth. I can’t tell you what’s wrong with your cat when he keeps throwing up, but I can tell you what I think it is — and I can be wrong. I will also tell you to go see your vet as soon as possible!
