Predicting earthquakes and hurricanes, rescuing people from fires or waking them up when there is a gas leak and carrying their kittens to a save place. They know the savest place in a building. They can do it all! But how?
For that we have to go back to the post from yesterday about Psi-traveling, where scientist Konrad Lorenz explains how cats see the world through a net of magnetic fields.
Cats see the surface covered with an energy net made by geomagnetic fields coming from the ground. – Konrad Lorenz
But How Do They Sense Danger?
Cats find/see the tension arising in various constructions, it is explained in the way people see a piece of fabric first stretch and grow thin, before it breaks. It is almost sure that cats may a presentiment of coming earthquakes and other (natural) disasters.
Some cat owners might have noticed with their cats when (they feel) an earthquake approaching, they become confused and anxious. This doesn’t count only for cats, but other animals as well. For example: dogs, horses and goats. With their behavior they may all predict upcoming disasters.
To get back to the geomagnetic net covering the earth’s surface, cats might sense earthquake’s coming up through that net. According to impactlab.net and Konrad Lorenz this net grows thinner before an earthquake, because of the earth’s crust is ‘tensed’ or ‘overloaded’. When that is happening, a mother cat will carry her kittens to a safer place.
Safe Place
Changes in the magnetic fields mean changes of the static electricity charge. Many nations believe that cats must be the first to enter a newly built building or house to see if it is a safe place for living. This is because cats may see geomagnetic pattern of the floors, walls and ceiling. Experts state that a cat would never sleep in a place that is not safe. So watch your cat in the house to see where the safest place is!
I know it sounds a bit confusing! But I tried to explain it as good as possible!

My cats have never predicted an earthquake, I want my money back!
LOL
Now I must fold up myself to fit in the corner of the window-still
Don’t forget to take a picture of it!
Love the video is it Hiro ?
Nooo!
Is it Hiro ?
xx00xx

Hahaha, no! They look like each other tho.
You’re saying cats “see” magnetic fields? Is this actually backed by science? How do they know cats can see magnetic fields? That’s bizarre.
According to Lorenz yeah. Couldn’t find proof to back up, so didnt added that to it. They say dolphins “see” it too.
Weird… Maybe that’s why they’re so pissy all the time. I’d be annoyed if I saw that all day too! lol
I think you explained it perfectly. Thanks for the info. It is fascinating. I also believe that animals sense the atmospheric pressure changes but, based on your info now, I’ll never move into a building without checking it out with cats first
Thanks, LLCD!
Interesting stuff. No wonder very few animals died in Tsunami.
Interesting. But the gif stole the show. I watched it a dozen times
Hahaha, same here!
I never thought I would learn so much about cats as I’m doing in here, I really enjoy these facts.
Thanks for making me less ignorant.
I’m flattered!
We don’t get earthquakes here, but I noticed my cats acting weirdly when a huge storm is coming up.
A few years back, an old friend (we haven’t been friends for very long, but he was old) told me a story when a small earthquakes hit the city where he lived. A few minutes before, they knew something was about to occur, because the cat became all excited and stressed. They waited to see what was about to happen. When the earthquake began, his wife picked the cat and rushed to the escalator leading to the basement, and he spent the entire earthquake (3-5 seconds) yelling at her “OUTSIDE! OUTSIDE!”. And when it was over, he had to go to the basement to find both the wife and the cat under a small desk. “The cat went there”, she explained, “so there I went”.
He must have laughed his pants off. But he later had to explain to her that it was a safe place for tornadoes or hurricanes, but for earthquakes, you must rush OUTSIDE.

According to my cats, my bed, my sofa and my computer chair are very, very safe spots. So I’ll keep spending my life in these three spots lol
