Cat Of The Month – January

I almost forgot about it! I didn’t realize it is already the last day of January. Time flies when you’re having fun, right? But this Cat of the Month-kitty is perfect for January!

Congratulations Joe Sakic!

Congratulations Joe Sakic!

This pretty boy is Joe Sakic. He and his owner Nicole live in Canada. According to Nicole Joe is a miracle cat. When he was one year old he got hit by a car and had to have a reconstructive facial surgery. Joe survived. A year later, he went outside but never returned. Sixteen months later he returned to Nicole. He walked right in the house and was just as cuddly as before. The only thing that changed that he had grown twice his size!

Joe, fishing.

Joe refuses to drink from anywhere by the bathroom sink, and would rather eat your food than his own. He’s a very polite cat and speaks when spoken to. And to keep him off the kitchen table, you have to offer him his own chair. Recently he has taken to appearing outside the second story kitchen window – that’s now how he prefers to enter the house. Joe is the cat that changes people’s opinion about cats, because he’s not really a cat… Just ask him.

Nicole is lucky to have such a miracle cat like Joe, who returned back to her after sixteen months.

Congratulations to Joe Sakic and Nicole!

Do you want your cat to be Cat of the Month as well?

So what do you have to do?
Not much!
1. Send a picture of your cat(s) to Catsnco@hotmail.com
2. Add some required information such as:
– Name (yours and your cat’s name)
– Age
– Country you and your cat are from
– Breed (Don’t worry if it’s unknown)
– Information you’d like to share. (For example: What are his hobbies, favorite food, crazy habits, What is he/she good at? Etc)

I’ll pick out a cat at the end of every month that I will choose as the Cat of the Month.

What a guy Joe is! Miracle is RIGHT! What super photos, especially the last one. Also him coming back home after 16 months is amazing….and gives us all some hope that Jangles will return to Miss Susan at LLCD very soon. :D

Joe is definitely a lucky cat and so gorgeous. We love his TV viewing position. Lily Olivia also was hit by a car when she was young. She had multiple injuries, but with several surgeries and the skill and care of two wonderful vets, she survived and is now 14. We hope Nicole and Joe have many, many wonderful years together. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at http://www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

I had to laugh at the name. As soon as I saw the name, I knew he was from Canada. Joe Sakic hahaha!

16 months, and then returned as if nothing happened? Wow! I would love to know the story, it’s sad that cats don’t talk. He must have been well treated, so someone probably picked him and took care of him. But then, was he kept inside so he couldn’t return? Did he spend 16 months thinking how he would get out?
