My boyfriend always complains about how many books about cats I have. Especially when I’m in a bookstore, looking for more books about cats that seem interesting. I just find it interesting to read so many books about cats. Some authors have different views on things, but most have the same things in it. I have a few books about training cats, facts, but most of them are those typical books about history, health and behavior, and two of them are different. One is a story, and one is a biography from the Cat Daddy Jackson Galaxy. Some are in English, and some are in Dutch!
I think I’ll make a list of all the books I own soon!
Do you have ( a lot) books about cats?

Wow, you do have a lot of Cat books, I think I have one and two dog story books. All mine are cooking books..lol xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
I think we own two… No wait, four cooking books! Two by Gordon Ramsey, and two books about making Sushi and Sashimi.
We have two books about cats. One is about inoculation and the other about Clicker Training; huMum tried the Clicker Training with me but I found it boring (why working for treats if you can get one just by looking cute – what´s hard work enough, I find) The other books we own are 90% Science Fiction stories, we love it
Nothing wrong with Science Fiction!
yeah, but unfortunately “good” (written) Science Fiction stories are hard to find these days *sighs*
I think the same goes for movies.
That’s why you should read old Sci-Fi books. H.G. Wells never gets old (though he’s dead), if you haven’t read all of his novels yet, you’ve not read good Sci-Fi.
You can never read too many books!
My point exactly!!
My boyfriend just doesn’t know where to keep those books anymore.
I know the feeling.
I have a lot of books that feature cats – as characters or pets of main characters and who often “help” solve mysteries, etc. I love a good story about a cat (and if they happen to “own” a few humans, that’s find too!!).
Pam
I have reviewed a SHIPLOAD of books about cats on Cat Chat…all of my reviews are located on the side of the blog…soooo…to answer your question…YES. I have a TON of books about cats
Why am I not surprised? :p
We have loads! Our favourite is French for Cats =^..^=
French for cats? Never heard of that book!
I don’t own a single dog or cat book, most of my books are either thrillers or about city planning and that kinda of stuff.
Probably a book to teach French to cats! I should buy this one to my cats, although I speak to them in French everyday, they don’t seem to understand very much
I don’t own many books, and none is about cats. I love the Internet
That looks familiar
. At my old apartment apparently everyone knew I was a cat lady. One day when I came home, I found two books about cats in my mailbox. Until this day I don’t know which neighbor put them there
.
Really? That was nice from who ever put them there!
I have enough books of cats, I almost a cat myself
I know the feeling.
I don’t think I even own books about cats :3 I’m not much of a reader of informative books, I usually prefer novels. I believe it was the Dutch writer Annie M.G. Schmidt, of whom there’s been publised a compilation of cat stories she wrote about a year or so ago.
I know Annie M G Schmidt!
My favorite (fiction) cat book is Jennie (also published as The Abandoned) by Paul Gallico. Also Gallico’s book Thomasina, which was made into a sweet movie. He definitely inspires my own writing and love of animals.
Never heard of it! Should look it up. Thanks for the tip.
They are both excellent! Jennie is about transforming into a cat, and Gallico really got creative and imaginative showing the hardships and joys — nothing else quite like that book! Thomasina is about a vet’s daughter and her cat, and a sweet “witch” who enters their lives. Both will stay with your heart forever after you’ve read them!
Now I’m really curious! Going to look them up right away.
