I Hope 2013 Will Be A Good Year

Last year had its ups and downs, and I seriously want to get rid of these ‘down’ moments. So last night actually started boring and dull, but it ended pretty good. My upstairs neighbor rang the door, to tell us she had called the police about the next door neighbors, who were partying till early in the morning. Mind you, I want to sleep… We ended up talking, and she invited me for coffee one day. She’s friend material, and a cat lover. GOAL!

The first morning of the year started good: A sleepy, warm and cuddly Hiro. Always welcome! If he doesn’t shove me off the bed that is!

But there are some things I want to see and hope to achieve this year.
So I suppose you can call these my resolutions for 2013, but to me they are goals I want to achieve.

Volunteer Work
I (really) hope to do some volunteer work this year. I have a shelter in my mind, but it’s a bit far away, so I need to get my driver licence first. But I’m working on that. I hope I will able to make time for it.

Graduate
Because I’m getting so tired with school. I want to graduate from this study, and study something I like. Animal related, if possible. Still unsure what actually.

Bonding
I want to try to bond more with Suki and Hiro. Suki in particular. Suki isn’t the easiest, I’m not the easiest. We tend to be a bit like fire and water. But I want to pay more attention to both the kitties. Tired and hard work is no excuse anymore.

Experimenting
I have several ideas in my head, experiments mostly. Of course involving cats! No worry, it won’t be anything dangerous.

More followers?
I don’t really need more followers, I just hope Cats & Co will achieve a nice goal of followers, commenters. Maybe I want this blog to be known a bit more. If not… No hard feelings. I like the way it is now.

Work On My English & More Of Me
I want to get better in English, it sometimes gets pretty difficult for me, especially if I try to translate things, or when I don’t know how to put things in a sentence. Oh, I want to put more of myself in articles and post. Not that I will post my face in every post, haha. More like, I want to be more me. You know what I mean?

Losing Weight.
No need to explain this one. This one counts for Hiro and Me. Haha.

Guest Writers
I want to give it a try with guest writers this year. I have had the plan for a long time already. But never got further with it than just the idea. Who knows what will happen this year.

Training
I want to train Hiro and Suki some tricks. Mostly because I think this can work with our bond, to keep them busy, to keep me busy. And because I’m curious how it works to train a cat.

2012

2012 didn’t really had a lot of high lights for me. There are a few things and persons that really jump out of it for me. But life-wise, no, nothing special really. I hope this will change this year. We have been looking for a new place/house, my boyfriend got a good paying job. And this month we are together for five years already. It might not sound long for some of you, but to me it does. Yet, it still feels like we only met yesterday.

Friends
I have met amazing people over the year through blogging. You know who you are. Thank you for being you!

Hiro’s Knee
After Hiro’s knee surgery last year, he still had trouble with it because the surgery wasn’t succesful.
Thanks to Angelswhisper Hiro’s knee is now doing perfectly okay!

Limbo kitty
Even though Limbo is still not doing super okay, he is a cutie, a loving cat who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Sadly he’s the victim of many cat-bullies in this street. I found out he has a new owner (my downstairs neighbor), but he still isn’t inside a lot, and he doesn’t get a lot of love. Not really a good thing, but I believe there is hope for him. New Job
I got a new job back in November, because I only have class on thursday, I love on my own. And money doesn’t grow on trees here. I needed a second job. It’s my previous internship, not the best job ever, but I suppose I shouldn’t complain.
