A Furry Diary – Really Hot Weather

This week the weather was really nice, not too hot, and a nice wind. But this weekend the temperature has reached the top. Outside it should be around 30 degrees celcius, and inside it’s somewhere between 25 and 27 degrees celcius. I’m slowly melting away, and wondering whether I should try and see if I fit in the fridge or not.

The cats don’t really like the hot weather as well. Suki hates it, and tries to find every spot that is at least cooler than 30 degrees. So she isn’t found on the balcony. Hiro doesn’t mind the hot weather, but I can notice he is much slower, and they both don’t eat their food and eat a lot. Also, Hiro’s ears need to be done with sunscreen, and he hates it!

You said sunscreen?

Sunscreen?

Suki being pretty.

Hiro can be pretty too.

Well, we’re going to try and enjoy the weather. Shame I have to work tonight, or else my planning was to do absolutely nothing and eat icecream all day and bathe in icecubes!

  1. It’s stinky hot here too – very heavy and uncomfortable. Cats trying to find cool spots other than the kitten who hasn’t any sense yet! Eat ice cream and bathe in ice cubes until you have to go out ;-)

  2. Hiro and Suki are looking so, so cute. My Binky likes the sun, she was baking this afternoon in the heat of 35 degrees and yesterday it was 41 degrees over here and she felt fine. Have a chilled evening with lots of icecream :D

    • Yess, hiro needs sunscreen because his ears and nose are white, and are more prone to getting a sunburn. :o
We usually do suki’s ears as well.
Yess, Suki is a supermodel! Haha

  3. I have a ginger Devon rex and a Sphynx and they need sun screen if they go out in the sun. Devons and Sphynxes love heat unlike me their human who loves cold.

  4. i love the photos! it looks like they have a great balcony area.

sprocket doesn’t do well when the temperatures get above 30 or 32. it can get really hot upstairs. he’ll start panting and i will cool him off by getting his paws soaking wet and massaging him with water. our heat spell seems to have passed already, but it was the hottest summer here that people can remember. the other miaos just lie about like floof puddles when it is hot.
