Cat Of The Month - June

It’s finally summer! Eh, it’s supposed to be summer! So it’s time for another Cat of the Month! I know this one is earlier than usual. But that’s because I’m going to be gone for the weekend to Belgium! Next to that, this is going to be a special Cat Of the Month!

Evangeline (c. 2000 – June 7, 2012)

This beautiful lady is Evangeline. Born in 2000, and passed away on June 7, 2012. Evangeline is a cat rescued by Alienredqueen. She was approximately a year and four months old when ARQ got her from the Humane Society. Evangeline (also called ‘Princess Putter Pants’) made her laugh, she was her buddy. She would keep her company, Evangeline became her baby.

Sadly, she passed away on June, the 7th. Probably from either saddle thrombus or cancer. She passed away on ARQ’s lap when they were on their way to the vet. Evangeline was roughly 11 or 12 when she passed away.

This pretty shorthaired tabby-lady liked cuddling on the couch with ARQ  and she went bonkers for catnip. She liked to sit with her when ARQ took a bath. She was a ‘dignified lady’.

Rest in Piece, Evangeline.
You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Your favorite chair is vacant now…
No eager purrs to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.

No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it’s time for feeding.
I’ve put away your bowl, and all
The things you won’t be needing;

But I will miss you little friend,
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought me,
The comfort and the pleasure.

And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow;
I’m sure there’ll be a place for you
In Heaven’s bright tomorrow…

1. Send a picture of your cat(s) to Catsnco (at) hotmail (dot) com
2. Add some required information such as:
- Name (yours and your cat’s name)
- Age (of your cat)
- Country you and your cat are from
- Breed (Don’t worry if it’s unknown)
- Information you’d like to share. (For example: What are his hobbies, favorite food, crazy habits, What is he/she good at? Etc)
3. And hope your cat will be the “Cat of the Month“! Which will be the first step for your cat to become famous.

And I’ll pick out a cat at the end of every month that will be the Cat of the Month.
All entries should be sent in before the 25th of every month.
