A Furry Diary – Together In The Sun

The weather’s been getting better and better. We’re outside a lot on the balcony, I suggest mom buys some plants to put on the balcony. She doesn’t want to, because she know we’ll chew on it. She’s right tho. We’ll just enjoy the sun instead.

Me, posing in front of the camera.

Watching the birds in the tree.

Behind the apartment we live in, there is a tree, and a gym where kids get swimming lessons. So we’re watching the birds in the trees, and all the little kids with their parents walking in and out. They’re noisy.

Did you see that, Hiro?

I think we saw someone walking their dog. The same French Bulldog as last week.

I don't know what Hiro's doing here.

Hiro loves the sun. Even though mom has to use suntan oil on his ears, because he's white, so he has a bigger chance to get a sunburn.

Secretly, he likes all the attention.

Posing for mom. But Hiro's distracted by I don't know what.

Hello.

I hope next week the weather will be even better!

  1. I’ve had sunshine all day today too! And Spottie-cat got to go for a car trip, and sit on my lap in the sun for a bit…okay, he didn’t ‘sit’ but constantly tried to jump down and have a wander in the grass – but that’s against the rules unless he’s on his harness and leash!

      • I’d say if they don’t want to go out, don’t make them. Spot has always had limited access to the outside – my last place in the US was second floor with an upstairs patio and we’d all sit outside and enjoy the sun safely. He love the car, as long as we drive slow, and he adores the leash & harness as it means he gets to go outside. I feel badly that I can’t let him out, but he’s worth a lt of money and worth a lot more than money to me, so I can’t risk his life in a country that considers cats ‘vermin.’

      • Well, they have no problem with the balcony, and they don’t mind to sneak out when I open the door, but as soon as they wear the harness, they get scared. It’s really weird. So I just keep training, till they feel secure enough.

He loves the car? You don’t hear that a lot with cats!

      • Yes – if I had any idea how to post a YouTube video to my blog, I would share the one the hubby took of him and Spot in the car! He loves, loves, loves it – as long as we stay under 25kmph. Over that, he gets upset – good thing the town is small.

      • Oh, D, we don’t have a choice! He knows it is the weekend, and knows he might get a go – and he screams and screams in the most heartbreakingly plaintive way until Hubby gives in. (works for me as I usually need something from the shop) I never drove the car until recently so he doesn’t yell at me.

    • Hahaha, Suki falls over too. But after a few weeks she finally walked a few steps. I let her wear the harness everday for a few minutes, giving her treats as rewards, it doesn’t really seem to stress her out so much, it looks more like she doesn’t know what to do with it.

    • Spot knows what the harness means, so he no longer falls over paralysed but buts on his best kittenish chirp which means, ‘please please ?’ if he even sees it. Even after a year or more of not seeing it – because if you do it once, he begs at the top of his lungs for another go. I refuse to be trained by my animals!

  2. Adorable, Dianda, I can understand your feline love! We’re having fun with our new puppy and he’s doing well, considering it’s only been 4 days…he’s moved around a few times, so needs reassurance from his new family…take care :)
